I’m a backend-focused software engineer who designs and builds systems with clarity, context, and long-term thinking in mind.

01Background

How I got here

I’m a generalist by capability and a specialist by thinking.

I design software systems from the earliest planning stages, clarifying requirements, identifying trade-offs, and shaping architecture through to implementation across backend services, web interfaces, and mobile applications.

I’ve worked with:

  • backend systems in Java, Spring Boot, and Python
  • web interfaces using React and modern JavaScript
  • mobile applications built with Flutter
  • data flows, authentication, and security-sensitive features
  • AI-assisted tools and experimentation platforms

What ties all of this together is not the tech stack, but how the pieces fit.

I care about structure, boundaries, and clarity.
I like systems that are easy to reason about, evolve, and explain.

I’m more interested in building useful, understandable software than chasing trends, titles, or hype. I prefer depth over noise.

    Associate Software Developer

    Amalitech Ghana · Takoradi, Ghana

    • Developed AI-powered solutions, including: A code analysis tool and a developer quiz bot
    • Designed microservices architectures, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
    • Worked in a team to build an AI based tool for reviewing pull requests, improving code quality across internal projects by over 30%.
    • Built a real-time collaboration tool for an AI-based video generation platform built with flask and celery, enabling collaborators to track project changes in realtime.
    • Led a team of developers to create comprehensive codebase and API documentation, significantly improving the onboarding experience for new developers.
    • Established documentation guidelines & maintenance rules, ensuring consistency and long-term usability.

    Junior Software Developer

    • Worked in a team to build an in-vehicle infotainment system using Java 8, SVN, XML, and Python for integration testing.
    • Identified and resolved multiple bugs in the infotainment system improving customer satisfaction.
    • Assumed leadership responsibilities by occasionally leading stand-up meetings, facilitating discussions, and ensuring team alignment and progress tracking.
    • Worked in a team to build a test taking platform with a microservice architecture using Java 17, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Nodejs, DynamoDB, Redis, Sentry and Angular.
    • Designed and implemented a robust authentication and authorization system using Spring Security for a microservices architecture, ensuring tight access control and security.

    • Worked with DevOps to setup monitoring and alert system for software monitoring in production environment
    • Worked in a team to build an image search engine using Django, PostgreSQL, Redis and reactjs. Implemented system monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, and Sentry, reducing downtime by 20%.
    • Spearheaded the development of a task scheduling system leveraging Celery and Redis, enabling reliable asynchronous processing for a large-scale Django application.
    • Implemented server-side caching for the image search engine, improving response time by over 50%.
    • Researched and implemented an improved image processing algorithm to reduce the size of processed images in the database, saving 30% of server storage.
